Yousef, a 10 years old boy, couldn’t hide his happiness when he harvested the first Mushroom crop at his grandfather’s house in besieged Ghouta. Yousef’ grandfather and 160 others were able to learn how to plant mushroom at home and get a source of protein while being under siege thanks to the Mushroom cultivation training provided by Ghiras Al-Nahda.
Youssef learned to grow mushrooms with his grandfather and produced several kilograms of mushrooms at his home.
