Ghiras Al-Nahda team invites you to participate in a fundraising campaign to build a multi-story school in Azaz, north of Aleppo, Syria, which will provide education services to children within more than 186 displaced families living in Tariq Residential Complex and families in the neighboring village of “Kafrah”, in addition to several nearby camps.
More than ten years of unjust attacks in Syria that have caused endless crises, in northwest Syria (Idlib Governorate and northern Aleppo) more than 45% of school-age children are not enrolled in school (nearly one million children out of education).
Your donation to support the construction of Ghiras Al-Nahda School will contribute to improving the lives of children in northwest Syria. Building a new school in northwest Syria is more than just a building; it is an investment in the future of an entire generation. A school can make a positive difference in the lives of those children.
After the war and conflicts that our children have suffered from, this school will provide a safe haven for children to learn and play, and to learn basic skills such as reading, writing and arithmetic, opening up broader horizons for them in the future. The school will provide them with the knowledge they need to understand the world around them and make informed decisions.
Through studying and learning, children will feel confident when they succeed in their studies, and the school will inspire them to achieve their dreams and develop their skills and abilities.
It is important to remember that education is the key to improving living conditions and escaping poverty, as education will contribute to forming a new generation of leaders and thinkers who will rebuild Syria.
Our school will include displaced children from different parts of Syria, as the school will bring together children from different backgrounds, which will promote tolerance and mutual understanding.

Through this fundraising campaign, we aim to raise $275,000 to build a multi-story school that provides a safe and well-equipped learning environment for children aged 5 to 17. Ghiras Al-Nahda School will provide education to approximately 800 students, giving them the opportunity to achieve their dreams and build a bright future.

School Specifications:
The school consists of two floors, with a building area of 968 square meters, with a covered courtyard of 174 square meters and an open courtyard of 763 square meters, providing a safe and comfortable space for about 800 children to play and learn.
The school is equipped with 11 modern classrooms, designed to accommodate 36 students in each room, where each student finds an encouraging and stimulating learning environment. In addition, the school contains an administrative room, two teachers’ rooms, and a social worker’s room who takes care of the students psychologically and socially. We work to make every classroom a fertile garden, where the seeds of knowledge are planted and young minds flourish.
Educational facilities include an equipped science lab, a computer room, and a library, all of which provide advanced educational resources to stimulate children’s minds. One of the classrooms has also been allocated for children with disabilities to ensure that their special needs are met.
Service Facilities:
The school is equipped with, in addition to a bathroom dedicated to children with disabilities, two bathrooms for teachers, and water fountains suitable for children, to ensure a healthy and clean environment.
Safety and Care:
Security is provided around the clock with a room dedicated to the guard, in addition to a buffet for students and teachers.
The courtyard:
The courtyard is surrounded by a two-meter-high cement wall to ensure the safety of students, with a floor covered with dedicated school tiles, and football, basketball and volleyball courts, to provide fun sports activities. There is also a 4-meter-wide sidewalk at the entrance of the school made of interlocking stones, which adds a touch of beauty and safety to the entrance.
